I recently had a DRRI rebuilt using the "Hoffman" AB763 board I purchased from The Airtight Garage. The board was received shortly after I placed my order as promised. When I opened the package up, I was totally amazed at the quality of workmanship on both the main circuit board and cap-board. My technician used a custom made Heyboer Power Transformer, a Mercury Magnetics Output Transformer and Choke. He also installed micalex tube sockets and carling switches. He also changed out all the inputs (Switchcraft) and pots (Alpha) which were included with the board. These were even wired and ready to install. WOW!!!! The rebuild went really smooth due to the TAG's installation instructions and tip sheets. When I first played through the amp, I could not believe how good it sounded. I've been playing professionally for 41 years and have owned just about every kind of vintage and boutique amp out there .... Plexi, Fender Bassman, Fender Super Reverb, Twins, DR Z, Vox AC30, and Matchless. I promise, this amp now rates up there with any of the amp mentioned previously. If your wanting a low power amp that you can use live or in the studio, I strongly encourage you to consider going this rout. Expensive, but worth every penny!!!
